Picasso in Paris

The Artist You Know. The Story You Don’t.

A Broadway-Bound Musical

Picasso in Paris is a powerful, original Broadway-bound musical that reveals the untold story of Pablo Picasso’s life, love, and courageous artistic resistance during the Nazi Occupation of Paris in World War II.

This sweeping theatrical experience blends historical drama, passionate romance, betrayal, and defiance into an unforgettable night of theater. At its heart is a mysterious painting — “The Lost Dove” — believed to have been created secretly by Picasso during the occupation and stained with his own blood. Through music, the show transforms inner conflict into bold acts of courage, reminding us that art is one of the most powerful weapons against tyranny.

Themes of artistic freedom, moral choice, resilience, and the duty of the artist in dark times make Picasso in Paris urgently relevant today.

Our Journey

The story began in 2010 when Sir Kenneth Hawkins discovered the inspiring artwork The Lost Dove. Years of international research, DNA analysis on the painting, meetings with Picasso’s family, and countless revisions followed. Music composition began in earnest in 2022 in Willow Park, Texas.

From Fort Worth presentations to New York showcases, this musical has been built with passion, faith, and relentless dedication. Every note carries the spirit of defiance and hope that defines both Picasso’s legacy and our own fight for creative freedom.
